Normal Liver: Arginase-1 clone EPR6672(B).

Arginase-1

Antigen Background
Arginase‐1 is a metalloenzyme involved in the catalysis of arginine into ornithine and urea in the liver. As such, it is a sensitive and specific marker of hepatocytes and can be used to aid in the differential diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma from metastatic carcinoma of the liver. Arginase‐1 has been shown to be more specific than HepPar‐1 for this purpose, with 96% specificity vs 84% for HepPar‐1.
Disclaimer
Arginase‐1 is recommended for the detection of specific antigens of interest in normal and neoplastic tissues, as an adjunct to conventional histopathology using non‐immunologic histochemical stains.
