The HistoCore SPIRIT H&E Staining System contains five proprietary reagent components and staining protocols that have been optimized for use on the HistoCore SPIRIT ST stainer. When the SPIRIT H&E Staining System is used together with the HistoCore SPIRIT ST Automated Slide Stainer, it produces consistent high-quality slides for accurate diagnosis. The staining optimization technology incorporated in the stainer ensures vivid color contrast from slide 1 through slide 3,000 eliminating day-to-day variations.

The components of the stain system stain cell nuclei blue and color the connective tissue, cytoplasm, muscle and erythrocytes various shades of orange, pink and red.
