LEF‐1

Antigen Background
Lymphoid Enhancer‐Binding Factor 1, (LEF1), is a transcription factor that regulates cell division and has a significant role during lymphopoiesis. It is normally expressed in T‐cells and precursor B‐cells and thus is a specific (93%) and sensitive (96%) marker to aid in the diagnosis of chronic lymphoid B cell leukemia and could also be useful to aid the diagnosis of histologically challenging small B‐cell lymphomas.

Disclaimer
LEF‐1 is recommended for the detection of specific antigens of interest in normal and neoplastic tissues, as an adjunct to conventional histopathology using non‐immunologic histochemical stains.
