Antigen Background
CA125 は、MUC16としても知られています。CA125 は、通常、卵巣上皮性悪性腫瘍に関連する抗原です。卵巣癌のモニタリングにおける検出には、血清学的アッセイが広く用いられています。また、CA125抗原は免疫組織化学染色によっても検出するとが可能で、精嚢癌や一部の悪性リンパ腫での発現も確認されています。CA125抗原の発現は、悪性腫瘍に限定されるものではありません。
